luv n haight presents lost soul, a comprehensive collection of material recorded by geater davis for the house of orange label. the name of the album is an accurate description of the life and career of the legendary blues and soul singer who passed away at age 38 while on the verge of breaking through.

toronto-based duo a digital needle are purveyors of disco, funk, & soul edits, pruned for the dancefloor & subscribers to the mancuso method of deejaying, with a preference for quality sound and selection over long, elaborate mixes et al. they join forces with fellow canadian re-editor/producer cyclist to deliver a killer 4-tracker of the finest disco-funk. the release comes as red coloured vinyl in a full colour sleeve photographed by top photographer matt barnes (who has worked with snoop dogg, dimitri from paris, mike skinner, lily allen), in the vein of a lost disco lp from the 70s and looks amazing. this is the first release on tripped out records and is one hell of a debut.

the track is a real house bomb with a jackin disco feel, set across an evolving bass line and flourishing voices. over on the flip is a remix from dynamic duo, the martinez bros. using the original elements and adding their own unique production including an equally addictive bass line and trippy elements, they create a first rate remix that seals the package off perfectly.
